The Willows

The Willows is a large detached property, set in its own grounds close to the town of Yarm, in the North East of England. The Willows is within close proximity to Stockton, Darlington and Middlesbrough. The nearby areas host expansive countryside and beaches.

The house has a gated driveway, large front and rear gardens with a decked area to the side of the property. There is space to the front of the property for parking, including a double garage.

There is sufficient space for indoor and outdoor activities, commensurate to the needs of group living. Within the home there are four spacious communal areas including a large lounge, a “snug”, an open plan kitchen & dining area, and a conservatory overlooking the rear garden. The Conservatory is a games room, including pool table and table tennis table. In addition, there is a separate utility room, office and toilet. Upstairs there is a communal bathroom, landing area and five bedrooms, three of which offer en-suite facilities.

Manager - Matthew

Matthew has extensive experience in Residential Social Care as Residential Worker, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, working with service users who have a range of difficulties, including social, emotional & behavioural, and Learning Disabilities and Autism, other complex health needs, self harming behaviours, and mental health conditions. Matthew joined Josh’s Place in June 2018 and has been the Registered Manager since the registration of the home.

Deputy Manager - Sarah B

Sarah is the Deputy Manager at The Willows. She has previous experience working in education settings supporting young people with challenging behaviours and learning disabilities. Over the past five years, Sarah’s career has been in Residential Social Care providing trauma informed care for young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

The Team

The team has a diverse wealth of experience. This includes children's residential, education, Social Work and adult services. The team at The Willows embrace the ethos that "every child deserves a champion" and work tirelessly to support the young people to reach their potential. They work well together to support each other and ensure continued development, making The Willows an incredible place to work.
